Recap: After the rough month of training(getting sick) in June, I was able to really bounce back this month with the start of the marathon buildup. With the help of a coach, I have been able to relax and know that the right marathon training is being given to me. The approach is to bring things along slower then I normally have done things, so this month was like the early miles of a marathon, where you relax and store as much emotional energy as you can for the later stages of the marathon(training). The first half of the next month is geared towards some more early preparation work before gradually transitioning into more marathon geared workouts the last 10 weeks. A few short race rust busters are thrown in here and there but the goal races that matter are CDR and more importantly Columbus Marathon which are still 5 and 12 weeks away. Lots of time to get race specific fit, but this month has me already going in the right direction!
